Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Health Assessment
The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples Health Assessment (MBS Item 715) is a comprehensive health check available to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This annual assessment is fully bulk billed.
The health check takes about 45-60 minutes and looks at your physical, mental, and social wellbeing. It is an opportunity to discuss any health concerns in a safe, supportive environment.
Following your health check, you may be eligible for up to 10 follow-up services to support any health issues identified.

We support the Closing the Gap initiative through a range of programs designed to improve health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
PBS Co-payment Measure
Free or reduced cost prescriptions for eligible Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
MBS Item 715
Annual health assessment specifically designed for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Follow-up Services
Up to 10 follow-up services after a health assessment for ongoing support.
Chronic Disease Support
Additional support for managing chronic conditions common in Indigenous communities.

Fully Bulk Billed
All health assessments and eligible services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are fully bulk billed. There are no out-of-pocket costs.
PBS Co-payment Support
Through the Closing the Gap PBS Co-payment Measure, eligible Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples can receive PBS medicines at a reduced cost or free.
