About Dr. Laura-Jayne Hughes
Dr Laura-Jayne Hughes is a psychiatrist who joined Reliance Care Medical Centre in October 2026. She sees children, adolescents, young people and adults across a broad range of mental health concerns.
Dr Hughes takes a thoughtful, individualised approach to assessment and care. She works collaboratively with patients, families and referring practitioners to support appropriate treatment planning and continuity of care.
Her areas of interest include child and adolescent mental health, including complex ADHD and other conditions usually seen by child and adolescent mental health services, youth and adult psychiatry, eating disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), trauma, PTSD and complex PTSD, personality vulnerabilities, and women's and perinatal mental health. She also sees patients with WorkCover, TAC and VACCA matters.
Dr Hughes consults on Thursdays. Appointments are private consultations, and a referral from your GP is required.
