We're Now an RACGP Accredited GP Training Site

A New Milestone for Our Practice

We are very pleased to share an exciting milestone for our team. Reliance Care Medical Centre is now a Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) Accredited General Practice Training Site, supporting the training, education and supervision of GP registrars.

What This Accreditation Means

As an RACGP Accredited Training Site, our practice meets the College's standards for training the next generation of Australian GPs. This accreditation recognises our commitment to:

  • Quality general practice delivered to the Truganina community
  • Supervised training for GP registrars working towards their Fellowship
  • Education and mentorship from our experienced general practitioners
  • High standards of patient care maintained across the practice

Building on Our Training Legacy

This accreditation extends our existing role as a teaching practice. We are already trusted training partners of the University of Melbourne and Monash University, hosting approximately 18 medical students each year. Becoming an RACGP Accredited Training Site means we can now also support qualified doctors completing their specialist GP training.

What This Means for Our Patients

Training practices bring real benefits to our community:

  • Greater access to care – More doctors mean more appointments available
  • Up-to-date medicine – Registrars and supervisors stay current with the latest evidence and guidelines
  • A future GP workforce – Many registrars go on to practise in the communities where they trained
  • Consistent quality – Accredited teaching practices are held to high standards of care

All GP registrars work under the supervision of our experienced general practitioners, so you can be confident you are always receiving safe, high-quality care.

Thank You for Your Support

This is a proud moment for everyone at Reliance Care Medical Centre, and a reflection of the trust our patients place in us every day. We're grateful for your ongoing support as we continue to grow as a teaching practice.
