Psychiatry Now Available at Reliance Care
We are delighted to welcome Dr Laura-Jayne Hughes, psychiatrist, to Reliance Care Medical Centre. Dr Hughes began consulting with us on Thursday 29 October 2026, which means patients in Truganina and the surrounding suburbs can now see a psychiatrist at the same clinic as their GP.
About Dr Hughes
Dr Hughes takes a thoughtful, individualised approach to assessment and care. She works collaboratively with patients, families and referring practitioners to support appropriate treatment planning and continuity of care.

Consulting Days
Dr Hughes consults every Thursday, and immediate appointments are currently available with no waiting time. From February 2027, she plans to expand her availability to three days per week.
Fees and Referrals
Psychiatry appointments are private consultations and are not bulk billed.
- Initial psychiatry consultation: $700
- Follow-up appointment: $500
