We've Partnered with AusRehab
We are pleased to announce a new partnership with AusRehab, a recovery management provider that works with people returning to work after a workplace or motor vehicle injury.
Recovering from an injury is rarely just medical. There is the claim, the paperwork, and the question of when and how you get back to your job safely. This partnership is about making that side of it easier.
What AusRehab Does
- Workplace rehabilitation - return-to-work planning and liaison with your employer
- Functional capacity evaluation - structured assessment of what you can safely do, used to guide suitable duties
- Motor vehicle injury support - case management for people recovering after a transport accident
- Pre-employment screening - assessment of fitness for the physical requirements of a role, arranged through employers
What This Means for Our Patients
Your GP continues to manage your medical care and issue your Certificate of Capacity. Nothing about that changes.
What the partnership adds is coordination on the practical side. Where a return to work is complicated - a physically demanding role, a longer recovery, or an employer who needs help identifying suitable duties - AusRehab can manage that alongside your treatment rather than separately from it.
Physiotherapy, psychology and our other allied health services are at the same address, so your GP appointment and your therapy do not mean two trips.
If You Are Managing a WorkCover or TAC Claim
Talk to your GP at your next appointment about whether a referral to AusRehab is appropriate for your situation. Your GP will advise based on your injury, your job, and where you are in your recovery.
You can read more about how our GPs manage claims on our TAC & WorkCover page, or read our guide to WorkCover and TAC claims and returning to work.
